john allen gibel
John Allen developed an interest in yoga and meditation early in his life and has formally studied traditional styles of Hatha and Classical Yoga for the past 10 years in several lineages.
He views Yoga as a living and evolving tradition and not as a set of static principles. While his method of teaching is based on the basic principles of Yoga philosophy, it is adapted to the various needs and dispositions of practitioners.
John Allen is a certified Baptiste Power Yoga instructor. He has studied diverse schools of Yoga practice as well as Buddhist meditation techniques during retreat in the remote Himalayas and he incorporates these practices into his classes. It is through the blessing of his teachers Lamchen Gyalpo Rinpoche, Chenga Rinpoche, Ani K.D. Palmo, Acharya Yogi Lama Gursam, Manju Jois, and Sean and Karen Conley that he has had the honor to share these Yoga practices.
John Allen strives to remind practitioners, as his teachers have often reminded him, that if we can master and subdue the inner elements, we simultaneously transform the outer world.

It's Simple, Yoga makes me feel good, alive, and happy. Why wouldn't I want to learn and share with others the type of joy and peace that Yoga brings?
In my class I like to help my students achieve a space in their practice that allows for balance and expansion at every level. I try to bring humor, knowledge of the body, creative sequencing, and the ability to adapt the practice to the individual needs inside the group setting. More than teaching a Yoga Class, my objective is to create an atmosphere where Universal Truth can be experienced and the heart can be softened and uplifted.
Yoga is my gift to myself and teaching is an expression of my gratitude and desire to give the gift to others. It is my desire to teach from the heart. To learn from my students as they share in learning with me.

A
ngela began practicing yoga out of curiosity for more than 14 years. The peace and the physical benefits she experienced during that time grew into a desire to share her love of yoga with others while growing in her intimacy with Christ. In 2010, she earned teacher training at Yahweh Yoga, the world’s first Christian Yoga private post secondary education college. Her Christ-Centered Yoga classes begin and end with a time of de-stressing and relaxation with gentle flow postures in between. Each student is encouraged to develop strength, mobility and peace in their own practice. Throughout class students are guided with Scripture reading, Christian music and prayer. “I look forward to sharing and growing with so many students in this amazing journey.”
Angela is a RYT 200 through the Yoga Alliance as well as a Christian Certified Yoga Teacher through Yahweh Yoga.
*Yahweh Yoga* Christian yoga is a recognized style of yoga with Yoga Alliance and a Licensed Private Post Secondary Education College with the State of Arizona.
